My good friend and Fab author Jean Joachim has just brought this terrific 4 STAR REVIEW to my attention, which I did not even know I had.

Romantic Times Magazine 4 STARS.

"The Dragon and the Rose exudes wonder and mysticism. D'Arcy's clear vision of Tarlis is conveyed in exquisite detail. The book combines all the best elements of medieval fantasy, taking it to even grander heights. Though it can be a bit of a slow read due to somewhat confusing names and narration that jumps between characters, the depth given to each character outweighs those few flaws. Most impressively, this story manages, in a world with plot lines done and overdone to be surprising."

MY 5 STAR REVIEW!!! Now also available in PAPERBACK!
5.0 out of 5 stars Compelling From Beginning to End, August 19, 2012
The Dragon and The Rose begins when in the library of Ancient Tombs and Scrolls, a carpenter discovers a book of Tarlisian history with an unusual, rare dragon-skin cover. He tears a page, an etching or a dragon from the book, stuffs it inside his jerkin, then heads to the tattoo artist, Emmerich, so he can ink that dragon on his chest. Unknown to him, the carpenter did more than tear a page, he released an evil long since contained. Luckily, the tattoo artist is not who he seems. And so the adventure begins.

Australian writer Julie A. D'Arcy is many things, the founder of Eternal Press Publishing, a talented cover artist, whose art graces many wonderful books, the owner of a book trailer company where she creates wonderful videos, but most of all Julie A. D'Arcy is a gifted story teller.

She brings magic alive in this engaging fantasy/romance complete with a dragon king, an evil sorcerer, a good sorcerer, an elven king, enchanted castles, an evil god, a seductive goddess, and a quest for a ancient sword while she sprinkles romance throughout it. In this fast, action packed adventure, the writing is smooth, the descriptions are brilliant, and the story is compelling from beginning to end.
